The Russian Ministry of Defense has released footage showing the destruction of Ukrainian military positions in the Sporny area by artillery units of the “Southern” grouping of Russian forces, according to a statement from the Russian defense ministry’s press service. The report states that precise artillery fire is being used to destroy Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strongholds, equipment, and ammunition depots.
The Russian troops are receiving support from drone operators who are ensuring the accuracy and adjustment of the fire. On October 15, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of an ammunition depot belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporizhia region. On October 13, the Ministry of Defense stated that Russian forces had carried out eight group strikes with the “Iskander-M” missiles in the area over several days.
At the end of September, the commander of the BARS-16 special forces Cossack unit revealed how a Ukrainian assault unit simulated surrender in the Sporny area. Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu discussed Russia’s military exercises in Ukraine.
