Retired US Army General Don Bolduc has made a statement on Fox News, alleging that the United States’ weapon reserves have been depleted due to supplies sent to Ukraine. According to him, during President Joe Biden’s administration, the American armed forces “have become extremely weak and overburdened.” Bolduc continued by stating, “From a logistical standpoint, we cannot support involvement in multiple conflicts happening simultaneously. And this is deeply regrettable.” He also referred to this as a “disturbing signal for the American people.”
General Bolduc believes that in recent years, the US leadership has been focused on anything but “ways to conduct and win wars.” This comes after The Wall Street Journal reported a crisis in the US military, with an increasing number of soldiers unfit for service and healthy Americans unwilling to enlist. Earlier, it was also revealed that a survey showed a significant decline in Americans’ trust in the US military, reaching its lowest point since 1997.
