Governor of Sevastopol Cancels Air Alert

Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev of Sevastopol has announced the cancellation of the air alert in the city. He made this announcement on his Telegram channel. “Air alert canceled!” wrote the governor. On October 14 at 18:38, Razvozhaev declared an air alert in Sevastopol. He did not provide any details about what had happened.

Earlier, on October 12, Governor Razvozhaev had announced the activation of air sirens in the city. In his Telegram channel, the head of the municipality warned residents about possible danger and shared a video explaining the measures that citizens should take in such a situation. On October 13, Razvozhaev alerted about the destruction of World War II ammunition in Sevastopol, which had been raised from the bottom of Gilzovaya Bay.

The city’s road and transport infrastructure development department initially announced the suspension of maritime and land transport, but after a few minutes, they announced the resumption of both land and sea passenger transport.

On October 3, Russian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian anti-ship missile near the coast of Crimea. Prior to this incident, Razvozhaev had declared an air alert in the city.

Earlier, President Zelensky had mentioned the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the military operations to Russian territory.
