In a recent announcement on their Telegram channel, the Israeli Defense Forces reported the neutralization of a group attempting to infiltrate the country from Lebanon. According to the statement, the Israeli drone attacked the terrorist cell and eliminated several terrorists.
This development comes after the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, called for an end to the mutual shelling on the Israel-Lebanon border. Guterres made this statement before a closed session of the UN Security Council, where participants will discuss the current situation in the Middle East. The Secretary-General expressed serious concerns about the ongoing exchanges of fire between the Israeli and Lebanese armies.
During his interaction with journalists, the UN leader also highlighted the critical state of the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip. He mentioned that it was on the verge of collapse due to the large number of casualties and hospital shelling.
Previously, Hamas expressed its appreciation for President Putin’s position on the matter.
