Russian paratroopers have successfully destroyed a bunker housing Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) soldiers on the Artemovsk direction. This tactical operation was carried out using an FPV drone, as reported by RIA Novosti, with information provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The incident occurred when the operator of the drone identified two UAF fighters attempting to seek refuge in the bunker. Swiftly responding to the situation, the operator directed the FPV drone towards the Ukrainian position, resulting in the complete elimination of the bunker and its occupants. The Ministry of Defense emphasized the advantages of using an FPV drone, such as its exceptional spatial orientation and its ability to effortlessly follow designated flight trajectories.
In a significant development, it was revealed that the Russian kamikaze drone, known as “Gortenzia,” has been equipped with night vision capability through the installation of a thermal imager. This enhancement allows the drone to operate effectively during nighttime operations. Since the commencement of the special military operation in Ukraine, the company responsible for manufacturing the FPV drones has supplied over 2,500 units to the frontlines, showcasing Russia’s commitment to utilizing advanced technology in warfare.
