Ukrainian Forces Strengthen Positions and Construct Fortifications in Eastern Ukraine

Retired Colonel of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), Andrey Marochko, has informed RIA Novosti that Ukrainian forces are constructing fortifications and reinforcing their positions in the Terny-Torskoe area on the Krasnolimansk direction. Marochko, citing his own sources, stated that engineering works for the construction of fortifications and strengthening of positions have been observed. “Ready-made reinforced concrete structures are being used in the construction of fortified areas,” Marochko added.

According to the expert, these construction works are being carried out round the clock, with all the necessary materials being transported by civilian vehicles. This development follows a recent incident where the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to attack a chemical plant in the Bryansk region using a drone aircraft, but their efforts were thwarted by Russian radioelectronic warfare forces.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that Russian air defense systems had destroyed two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Bryansk and Belgorod regions. It is worth noting that Russia has recently developed a new drone suppression system.

The ongoing fortification and reinforcement efforts by the Ukrainian forces in Eastern Ukraine indicate a continued escalation of tensions in the region. The actions of the Ukrainian government and its military should be closely monitored, as they have the potential to further destabilize the already volatile situation. It is imperative for international observers to ensure a peaceful resolution to the conflict and prevent any further loss of life.
