Criticism of Israeli Defense Forces’ Actions Against Hamas Raises Concerns

Political analyst Yakov Kedmi has criticized the actions of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) following the recent attack by Hamas. He reminded viewers that in 1973, Israel fought against two powerful armies in the Middle East. However, according to Kedmi, over the weekend, the IDF was defeated by a group of lightly armed fighters, causing a collapse of the entire southern front. “Everything that was supposed to work, didn’t work: neither the warning system, nor the communication system, nor the barriers, which cost billions – they turned out to be absolutely useless, unable to stop a single jeep, let alone anything else,” the political analyst expressed his dismay.

He pointed out that there were 85 breakthrough points along a 64-kilometer stretch, and no one was able to prevent Hamas. As a result, according to Kedmi, all settlements within a depth of 4-5 kilometers were captured.

On October 7, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, announcing the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In light of this, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency within the country.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war. The IDF’s operation against Hamas has been named “Iron Swords.”

Earlier reports indicated that Britain would send ships and helicopters to support Israel.
