Representative of the military wing of Hamas, Abu Obeid, has announced that the movement has begun preparations for a full-scale attack on Israel since 2022. This was reported by the newspaper Haaretz. According to Obeid, Hamas has secretly trained 4,500 fighters during this time and disabled Israeli military cameras near Gaza. Actions have also been taken in cyberspace. The representative of the movement noted that they are ready for any development, including a ground operation by Israel.
Earlier, Hamas political bureau member Mahmoud Mardawi stated that the attack on Israel is a response to the imminent operation to eliminate the movement’s leaders. He also emphasized that the operations will continue until the rights of Palestinians are achieved under international guarantees.
