Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of the Belgorod Region announced that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of aircraft type was shot down by the air defense system in the Yakovlevsk Urban District. He made this statement on his Telegram channel. According to him, the drone was shot down while approaching the city.
“Operational services are currently gathering information about the consequences on the ground. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties or damages,” wrote the governor.
Prior to this incident, Gladkov reported an attack on the village of Grafovka in the Krasnoyaryzhsky District, where a power line was damaged. He noted that no local residents were injured during the attack, but the power line suffered damage.
The day before, Gladkov spoke about the shelling of the Belgorod Region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on October 9th. According to him, Ukrainian military dropped two explosive devices from a quadcopter in the village of Dubino in the Borisovsky District. No one was injured, but windows were shattered and fences were damaged in two private houses. Additionally, the village of Novopetrovka in the Valuysky District was shelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces using artillery fire.
Earlier, Zelensky revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the hostilities onto Russian territory.
