Russian Air Defense Destroys Ukrainian Drones Over Bryansk and Belgorod Regions

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that the Russian air defense systems have successfully destroyed two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to Ukraine over the Bryansk and Belgorod regions. The incident took place at approximately 22:00 local time.

In their statement, the Ministry emphasized that the UAVs, which were of aircraft type, were shot down by the vigilant air defense systems over the territories of Bryansk and Belgorod regions. This comes after the Governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, previously reported that the air defense system had successfully intercepted and destroyed an aircraft-type UAV in the Yakovlevsky urban district.

Gladkov had also earlier revealed the shelling of the Belgorod region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on October 9th. According to his account, the Ukrainian military dropped two explosive devices from a quadcopter in the village of Dubino in the Borisov district. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, but windows were shattered and fences damaged in two private houses. Additionally, the village of Novopetrovka in the Valuysky district was shelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine using artillery.

Previously, President Zelensky had mentioned the obstacles preventing Ukraine from transferring the conflict to Russian territory.
