Professional Wrestler Arrested for Assaulting Autistic Man During Match

A professional wrestler in Indiana, known as “Kreepy the Clown,” has been arrested for assaulting an autistic man who heckled him during a match in August. Michael Keihn, 42, was taken into custody on Tuesday on a charge of felony battery of an endangered adult, according to local news outlet FOX59. The incident occurred during an Indiana Powerhouse Wrestling show at the Delaware County fairgrounds on August 12.

According to court records cited by the outlet, the autistic man became “loud and boisterous” and angered some individuals in the area near him. As a result, staff moved the man and his caretaker to a different location for the remainder of the match. However, while leaving the venue, Keihn, still dressed as Kreepy the Clown, allegedly confronted the heckler.

Prosecutors claim that Keihn elbowed the man in the back of the head and shouted derogatory remarks at him. In response, the victim smashed a can of Coke in Keihn’s face. The victim’s caretaker tried to intervene but was prevented from doing so by a crowd of people. Witnesses described Keihn yelling offensive slurs and refusing to stop when asked by others.

As a result of the assault, the victim suffered a broken nose and face lacerations. Keihn was later confronted by a manager at Indiana Powerhouse Wrestling, who fired him over the incident. In a subsequent interview with investigators, Keihn denied involvement in the skirmish that took place in the fairground’s parking lot that night.

If convicted, Keihn could face a prison sentence ranging from one to six years. The attorney representing Keihn has not been identified at this time. The case continues to unfold as authorities gather additional evidence and statements.

This incident raises concerns about the safety and well-being of individuals attending wrestling events, particularly those with special needs. It underscores the importance of ensuring a secure environment for all spectators, regardless of their background or abilities. The arrest of Keihn sends a message that such acts of violence will not be tolerated and that appropriate legal action will be taken.
