Sirens blared in central Israel as the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) sounded the alarm. The IDF’s official Telegram channel reported the incident, stating, “Sirens were heard in central Israel.” On October 7th, Hamas militants launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory, marking the start of operation “Flood of Al-Aqsa.” In response, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency across the country. Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced that the country is in a state of war. The IDF’s operation against Hamas has been named “Iron Swords.” In retaliation for the attacks, the Israeli Air Force targeted 21 Hamas sites in the Gaza Strip. Prior to this, the Israeli military conducted airstrikes on militant targets in Lebanon.
