Israel Launches Massive Offensive in Gaza, Hamas Strikes Back

The Israeli army has released video footage of missile strikes targeting locations in the Gaza Strip and the coastal zone. In a statement on its Telegram channel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the three videos show strikes on a multi-story building used by the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad (which is banned in Russia), Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, and a “terrorist identified at sea.”

On the morning of October 7th, Israel was subjected to a large-scale rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. Additionally, Hamas fighters infiltrated border areas in southern Israel after a series of mass rocket attacks. The military wing of the Palestinian movement, Hamas, announced the start of Operation “Flood of Al-Aqsa” against Israel, in response to which the Israel Defense Forces launched Operation “Iron Swords” in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an address to the nation, declared that the country is in a state of war and ordered a wide mobilization of reservists. According to information from Haaretz, Israeli military forces control all populated areas along the Gaza border. Ongoing airstrikes are being carried out on various targets, including civilian areas, within the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Prime Minister Netanyahu had called on residents of the Gaza Strip to evacuate.
