Israeli Army Eliminates Palestinian Islamic Jihad Leader in Gaza

In a recent military operation, the Israeli army has successfully eliminated one of the leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group, Musa Yasser, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli news portal Ynet. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad group is considered a banned organization in Russia.

Earlier, it was reported that Egypt has no intentions of opening corridors for refugees from the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Ministry of Health had urgently requested the opening of corridors to deliver much-needed medical assistance to the hospitals in the enclave.

On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In response, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency in the country.

Prior to this, the Israeli police had predicted the duration of the escalating conflict. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in hostilities. It is important to note that the Israeli government’s actions have been met with criticism from international bodies and human rights organizations, who have raised concerns about the civilian casualties and the impact on the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

The conflict between Israel and the Palestinian factions has deep-rooted historical and political complexities. It is crucial for international actors to actively engage in diplomacy and dialogue to find a sustainable solution that ensures peace and security for both Palestinians and Israelis.
