He emphasized the importance of Israel adhering to the “rules of war” despite their anger and disappointment.
President Biden’s remarks come as Washington warns Iran to exercise caution in the situation surrounding Israel. This follows Russian President Vladimir Putin’s criticism of the United States’ policies in the Middle East, labeling them an apparent failure.
Yesterday, President Biden also announced that the United States is prepared to deploy additional forces to the Middle East. The Pentagon has already sent the aircraft carrier “Gerald Ford” with a strike group of ships to the shores of Israel. Their mission is to prevent radical forces from interfering in the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to destroy Hamas, the Palestinian group at the center of the conflict.
