Israeli Defense Forces Strike Islamic University in Gaza Amidst Escalating Tensions

In the ongoing operation “Iron Swords,” the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have launched a missile strike on the Islamic University in the Gaza Strip. This development was reported in an Israeli military Telegram channel. The IDF claims that the university serves as a major weapons production center and training facility for engineers affiliated with the radical Palestinian movement, Hamas. It is worth noting that Hamas militants recently launched an attack on Israeli territory.

The Israeli military further stated that they are continuing their large-scale attacks in the Gaza Strip. On October 7th, Hamas forces fired several thousand rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In response to these events, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency within the country. Prime Minister Netanyahu also announced that the country is in a state of war. The IDF’s operation against Hamas has been dubbed “Iron Swords.”

Earlier, the Israeli police had predicted the duration of the conflict escalation. However, further details regarding the extent of the escalation and any potential developments are yet to be disclosed.
