US Sends Military Supplies to Israel as Conflict with Hamas Escalates

In a significant show of support, the United States has sent its first aircraft carrying military supplies to Israel amidst the ongoing conflict with Hamas. The plane landed at the Nevatim base in Israel on the night of Wednesday, October 11, according to a statement by the Israeli Defense Forces. These advanced munitions are intended to inflict significant damage and prepare for additional scenarios.

The Israeli military has expressed gratitude to the United States for its support during this critical time. This move comes after the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the aircraft carrier “Gerald Ford” had arrived in the eastern Mediterranean Sea on Tuesday, along with its strike group, amid the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

On October 7, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory and declared the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. In response, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency in the country. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel is in a state of war. The Israeli Defense Forces’ operation against Hamas has been named “Iron Swords.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed to destroy Hamas, intensifying the already tense situation in the region. The United States’ provision of military supplies to Israel underscores its commitment to supporting its ally in the face of escalating conflict.
