Israeli Defense Forces Strike Hamas Targets in Daraj-Tufa Region

In a recent statement, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they have carried out strikes on over 70 targets in the Daraj-Tufa region. This comes as the IDF continues its efforts to combat terrorism in the area. The strikes, conducted by fighter jets, were aimed at dismantling Hamas’ terrorist infrastructure.

The Daraj-Tufa region has been known to be a stronghold for Hamas militants, who have been using it as a base for their operations. The IDF’s actions are a response to the continuous threats posed by Hamas, which has been launching rockets into Israeli territory.

Moreover, it was reported that the first shipment of American ammunition for the IDF arrived in Israel on the night of Wednesday, October 11. This delivery comes amid escalating tensions in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with the US sending its aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald Ford, to the eastern Mediterranean as a show of support for Israel.

On October 7, Hamas launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, sparking what they called the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. In response, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency in the country. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also stated that Israel is now in a state of war. The IDF’s operation against Hamas has been named “Operation Iron Swords.”

Earlier, the Israeli police had predicted that the escalation of the conflict would continue for an extended period. As tensions remain high in the region, the international community watches closely to see how the situation unfolds.
