The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported an attempted drone attack on the Belgorod region. According to the Ministry, the air defense systems successfully intercepted and shot down a Ukrainian drone. Earlier, Russian air defense systems intercepted three “Tochka-U” missiles in the area of a special military operation. This information was reported in the Russian Ministry of Defense’s Telegram channel.
Additionally, the air defense systems intercepted two anti-aircraft missiles from the S-200 complex that had been converted into striking weapons. Electronic warfare systems also suppressed and destroyed 25 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). According to the Ministry of Defense, drones were also eliminated in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as in the Zaporizhia, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions.
On October 7th, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation had foiled a terrorist attack attempt from Ukraine on Russian territory. Three “Tochka-U” missiles were destroyed by air defense systems over the Belgorod region. Previously, Russia had developed a new drone suppression system.
