Nikki Haley Raises Over $11 Million in Fundraising for 2024 Presidential Campaign

Presidential candidate Nikki Haley has reported a substantial fundraising success, bringing in over $11 million in the past three months as she vies for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Haley, a former two-term governor of South Carolina and ambassador to the United Nations under the Trump administration, experienced an increase in fundraising compared to the previous quarter’s $7.3 million. With the Iowa caucuses just three months away, Haley’s campaign boasts a cash on hand of $11.6 million, including $9.1 million available for the primaries.

Highlighting an “explosion in donor interest,” the Haley campaign revealed that nearly 40,000 new contributors have emerged in the third quarter. Campaign spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Nikki is emerging as the candidate who can move America beyond the chaos and drama of the past and present, and we have the resources we need to do it.”

Haley’s rise in the polls can be attributed to her strong performances in the first two presidential nomination debates. She currently holds second place in the Republican nomination race in New Hampshire and South Carolina, key states in the primary and caucus schedule. However, while her fundraising is robust, it falls short compared to the impressive $45.5 million raised by former President Donald Trump during the same period. Trump’s political team also reported a campaign coffers balance of over $37.5 million.

Trump’s lead in both fundraising and polling has expanded over the spring and summer, despite facing four indictments for alleged attempts to overturn his 2020 presidential election loss. These indictments have paradoxically fueled his support among Republican voters. Meanwhile, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, another presidential contender, reported a $15 million fundraising haul in the past three months, although this figure is slightly lower than the $20 million he raised in the previous quarter. DeSantis currently holds $5 million in cash that can be spent on the primaries.

Presidential candidates have until October 15 to file their third quarter reports with the Federal Election Commission. For the latest updates on the 2024 campaign trail, exclusive interviews, and more political content, visit our digital election hub.
