The Ministry of Health in Palestine has reported that the number of casualties in the Gaza Strip has risen to 493 as a result of the escalation between Israel and Palestine. The ministry shared this information on its Telegram channel. Over 2,700 people have been injured due to Israeli army strikes.
Additionally, it has been noted that 15 more people have died and over 50 have been wounded in the West Bank region. On the morning of October 9th, it was announced that the number of Israeli residents affected by the Palestinian-Israeli conflict escalation has increased to 2,382. The Times of Israel reported this, citing data from the Israeli Ministry of Health.
On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets towards Israel, initiating the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation, which involved an incursion into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip. In response, Israel launched the “Iron Swords” operation against Hamas, conducting airstrikes on the group’s targets in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the country to be in a state of war. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that all communities along the Gaza border were under military control.
Within 48 hours of the war with the Palestinian movement Hamas, the IDF mobilized 300,000 reservists, according to official IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagar. Earlier, Netanyahu had urged residents of the Gaza Strip to evacuate.
