Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) successfully thwarted an attempted infiltration by a terrorist onto a military base in Zikim, located in the southern part of the country. This incident was reported by i24 News. According to an IDF spokesperson, the terrorist was eliminated while attempting to breach the base’s perimeter. The operation involved members of the rescue and training brigade.
It is worth noting that there were no Israeli military casualties as a result of this incident. On October 7th, Hamas launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, marking the beginning of their “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In response, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency within the country. Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, declared that the nation is in a state of war. The IDF’s operation against Hamas has been codenamed “Iron Swords.”
