In a recent development in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Russian Armed Forces units in the “South” sector successfully foiled a Ukrainian counterattack on the Donetsk front. The Russian forces managed to destroy a building that served as a temporary enemy base, as revealed by the commander of the UAV operators in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to the agency’s source, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had concentrated their forces in the aforementioned building, intending to launch a counterattack on positions previously taken by Russian soldiers. Despite the storming of the fortified area by Ukrainian troops, the Russian military continues to face attempts by Ukrainian forces to regain lost ground on the South Donetsk front. Ukrainian soldiers had gathered in a house near Russian positions, preparing to launch a subsequent offensive to reclaim their lost territory.
The commander shared that a decision was made to launch an artillery strike to eliminate the enemy’s manpower. This move was deemed necessary to neutralize the Ukrainian soldiers in the area. Furthermore, it has been reported that Russian Armed Forces units in the “Center” sector, with the support of assault and army aviation, as well as artillery, successfully repelled and thwarted five attacks by Ukrainian forces on the Krasnolimansk front.
In a separate incident, a Ukrainian soldier expressed confusion about the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.
