The death toll from Israel’s strikes on the Gaza Strip has now reached 436, including 91 children and 61 women, according to the enclave’s Ministry of Health. This is an increase from the previously reported 413 fatalities. The Ministry also reported that 2,271 people have been injured, including 244 children and 151 women.
Israeli military officials, on the other hand, claim that the number of casualties in Israel has risen to more than 700, with thousands of injuries. The conflict escalated on October 7 when Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, initiating the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In response, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency within the country.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war. The Israeli Defense Forces’ operation against Hamas has been named “Iron Swords”.
