Hungary Evacuates its Citizens from Israel Amid Escalating Conflict

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, has announced the evacuation of 215 Hungarian citizens from Israel. This information was shared by Szijjarto on his Facebook page, as reported by RIA Novosti. The joint rescue operation was conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Hungary. Two Hungarian military aircrafts were deployed to Israel to transport the citizens back to Hungary. According to the Minister, the planes are currently flying in safe airspace and en route to Hungary.

Szijjarto expressed his gratitude to the authorities of Israel, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Romania for swiftly granting permission for the Hungarian aircrafts to fly over their territories. Argentina has also announced its plans for the possible evacuation of its citizens from Israel. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina is preparing lists of Argentine nationals currently in Israeli territory. The authorities in Buenos Aires have advised Argentine citizens, who can independently purchase plane tickets, to leave Israel as soon as possible.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the country is in a state of war. This announcement came after the Minister of National Security of Israel, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency due to rocket attacks from the radical Palestinian movement, Hamas. Previously, the Minister of Defense of Israel, Yoav Galant, promised an “unprecedented response” that would be remembered for the next 50 years to the Gaza Strip.

In a time of escalating conflict between Israel and Palestine, Hungary has taken swift action to ensure the safety of its citizens. The joint rescue operation led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense reflects Hungary’s commitment to protecting its people in times of crisis. The evacuation of Hungarian citizens from Israel has been made possible through the cooperation and support of multiple countries in the region.

As tensions continue to rise, other nations, such as Argentina, are also considering the evacuation of their citizens from the conflict zone. The situation remains fluid, and the international community is closely monitoring the developments in the region.
