Thousands of Palestinians Forced to Flee Homes in Gaza as Israel Declares State of War

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, over 123,000 Palestinians have been compelled to leave their homes in the Gaza Strip. This alarming development comes amidst escalating tensions between Israel and Hamas. The UN agency reported the displacement of 123,538 Palestinians as of 8th October, 21:00 GMT.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently stated that the country is in a state of war. He emphasized that Hamas initiated a sudden attack on Israel and its citizens, prompting the Israeli government to take decisive action. Netanyahu has ordered a comprehensive operation to clear settlements of terrorists and mobilize reserves.

Earlier, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency within the country due to rocket attacks from the radical Palestinian movement, Hamas. Ben-Gvir announced the recruitment of volunteers into the police force in response to the escalating situation.

Furthermore, Israel’s Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, promised an “unprecedented response” to the Gaza Strip that would be remembered for the next 50 years.

The situation in the region remains tense, with thousands of innocent Palestinians forced to flee their homes. The international community is closely monitoring the events, urging all parties involved to exercise restraint and seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
