The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that their air defense systems have successfully destroyed and neutralized 25 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the regions of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Kherson. This comes after the Russian Ministry of Defense previously reported that their air defense systems intercepted an attempted strike on Crimea by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, using a modified S-200 missile. The Ministry clarified that the Russian air defense systems detected the Ukrainian missile in a timely manner and destroyed it in mid-air.
In addition to these incidents, it was reported earlier that the air defense systems of the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s small missile ship had destroyed a Ukrainian UAV near the coast of Crimea, approximately 10 kilometers away from the southwest shore of the peninsula. On October 7th, the Russian Ministry of Defense also announced that their air defense systems had successfully intercepted and shot down three “Tochka-U” missiles over the Belgorod region.
