Israel Misses Opportunity to Counter Hamas Attack, Says Political Analyst

Renowned Israeli political analyst, Alex Veksler, has stated that Israel missed a crucial moment to respond to a recent attack by the Hamas group, as reported by “Ridus”. According to Veksler, the Israeli government has become accustomed to military actions from Hamas, as the group frequently engages in gunfire. Additionally, Israeli authorities believed that attacks would occur less frequently due to the employment of Gaza Strip residents in the country. Veksler emphasized that this assumption was proven wrong.

Earlier reports indicated that Barzilai Hospital in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon was hit by a rocket strike. A hospital staff member revealed that the building suffered severe damage. Prior to this incident, a building in Tel Aviv collapsed as a result of a rocket strike, but two individuals were rescued from the rubble.

On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the start of the “Al-Aqsa Deluge” operation. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had previously vowed to eradicate Hamas.
