The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced that the Israeli Navy successfully repelled dozens of attacks on the country’s southern coast and along the coastline. Additionally, they reported the destruction of two rubber boats and two attacking ships on the morning of October 7, as well as the elimination of dozens of militants. It is noted that the attackers had intended to infiltrate Israeli territory. Prior to this, Israel had reported the infiltration of 200 Hamas militants into the country. On October 7, Hamas forces launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory. In light of these events, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency in the country. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that the country is in a state of war. The Israeli Defense Forces’ operation against Hamas has been named “Operation Iron Swords.” In response to the attacks, the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on 21 Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. Earlier, the Israeli police predicted a prolonged escalation of the conflict.
