In a recent report from the Russian Ministry of Defense, it has been revealed that Russian forces have successfully targeted a command post belonging to the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the vicinity of the town of Pobeda in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The publication states, “The command post of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been hit in the area of Pobeda.”
Additionally, the Russian defense ministry has stated that their military personnel were able to repel five counterattacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces along the Kupyansk direction. Earlier reports had indicated that the Russian forces in the “Zapad” group had launched strikes against the Ukrainian army’s personnel and equipment in the Kupyansk direction. It is now clarified that the brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were targeted in the areas of Novoselovskoe in the Luhansk People’s Republic, Ivanovka, Sinkyovka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.
On September 15, the Russian Ministry of Defense had announced that Russian forces had used the 82-millimeter automatic mortar “Vasilek” to target Ukrainian army strongholds in the Kupyansk direction.
