In a significant development in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the 2nd Army Corps of the Southern Group of Forces successfully stormed a strategic position held by Ukrainian military forces near the village of Berestove in the Donbass region. An eyewitness, identified only as “Vetar,” who participated in the storming, reported that the enemy forces predominantly consisted of the 200th battalion. This development comes after Colonel Andriy Marochko, a retired officer of the Luhansk People’s Militia, stated that the UAF had reduced its combat activity in the Donetsk direction. Marochko also claimed that the Ukrainian forces were focused on replenishing their losses and regrouping. He further mentioned that Russian forces had initiated offensive actions along the entire front of the Krasnolimansk direction.

During his speech, Putin highlighted the success of the Russian counteroffensive against the UAF, revealing that over 90,000 Ukrainian soldiers had been lost and a staggering 557 tanks had been destroyed within just four months.
