Head of Donetsk People’s Republic Orders Creation of Defense Headquarters

The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, has ordered the establishment of a defense headquarters in the region. This directive was announced in an official document posted on the republic’s website. The order states, “I decree the creation of the defense headquarters of the Donetsk People’s Republic.”

Pushilin also announced the formation of local headquarters for territorial defense in urban and municipal districts of the region. He has instructed the approval of the composition and regulations of the new headquarters. This directive has already come into effect.

In addition, the republic’s leader has issued an order to declare null and void the directives on the “Operational Headquarters for Responding to Military Threats” (dated November 29, 2022) and the “Territorial Defense Headquarters of the Donetsk People’s Republic” (dated December 13, 2018).

Previously, Pushilin stated that Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters could be creating a reserve force near the southern sector of the Donetsk People’s Republic, preparing for an offensive within the next five to seven days.

Earlier, an operational headquarters for the elimination of drone attack consequences was established in Crimea.
