Russian Forces Launch Offensive Actions on Ukrainian Frontline, Colonel Claims

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko of the Luhansk People’s Republic has stated that Russian military forces have begun offensive actions along the entire front of the Krasnolimansk direction. This report comes from RIA Novosti.

Marochko stated, “Artillery shelling of Ukrainian positions from our troops has sharply increased from southwest Svatovo to northwest Lisichansk. There has also been an increase in strikes from army aviation and heavy flamethrower systems.”

According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are sustaining fire damage, which the Russian Armed Forces are inflicting uniformly across the entire area of this direction.

Earlier reports mentioned that Russian forces repelled attacks by the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” (an organization banned in Russia) and assault units of the 21st Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the special operation zone on the Krasnolimansk direction.

According to the Russian military department, assault groups from the AFU attempted to attack Russian positions near Yampolovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and in the area of Serebryanskoye Forestry, but both of their attacks were unsuccessful.

Earlier, the US acknowledged the failure of the counteroffensive by the AFU.
