Russian Forces Launch Multiple Attacks on Ukrainian Positions in the Kupyansk Direction

Russian forces belonging to the “Zapad” group have launched a series of attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Kupyansk direction. According to the spokesperson for the group, Sergei Zybinskiy, a total of 20 strikes were conducted. The attacks involved Su-34 fighters delivering seven strikes on temporary Ukrainian army locations in the areas of Nevskoye and Novolyubovka. Additionally, Ka-52 and Mi-28 helicopter crews, as well as ground-attack aircraft, carried out 12 rocket and bomb strikes on Ukrainian military positions in Sin’kivka, Ivanivka, Stelmakhivka, and Berestove. Furthermore, a heavy flamethrower system targeted a concentration of Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of Makeyevka.

Zybinskiy stated that the strikes resulted in the destruction of up to a company-sized force, two tanks, seven mortars, an AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar station of American origin, six pickups, and two drones. The Ministry of Defense of Russia had previously reported that Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered up to 170 casualties in the Kupyansk direction over the past 24 hours. The strikes were carried out by units of the “Zapad” group with the support of aviation and artillery.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that units of the “Yug” group of the Russian Armed Forces had repelled two attacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk People’s Republic in the Donetsk direction.

In the United States, one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces was identified.
