Explosions Reported in Cherkasy Region of Ukraine, Amidst Ongoing Attacks

Explosions have occurred in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine, according to reports from Ukrainian publication “Obshchestvennoye.” However, details about the incidents have not been specified. On the night of October 6, air sirens were sounded in seven regions of Ukraine, including the Cherkasy region. Prior to this, Ukrainian media had reported explosions in Kiev and Nikolaev. On October 1, an explosion and fire also took place in the Lesnoy forest. According to a Telegram channel affiliated with the publication “Zerkalo Nedeli,” explosions were also reported in Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and near Kramatorsk.

Based on available information, on October 10, 2022, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces began striking Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, air sirens have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, often across the entire country. The Ministry of Defense has stated that the attacks target objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication.

Earlier, the United States identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
