The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has reported that Azerbaijani Armed Forces have opened fire on a food supply vehicle for Armenian positions in the Kut region of Gegharkunik. According to the Armenian military, the incident occurred on October 5th at around 13:50 local time.
No casualties have been reported, stated the Ministry of Defense. However, Azerbaijan has claimed that on October 5th at 14:50, Armenian forces fired on their positions in the direction of the Yellidzha village in the Kalbajar district, using various caliber firearms. The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan stated that there were no losses among their personnel or equipment.
Just a few days earlier, the Armenian Ministry of Defense also reported that Azerbaijani forces had targeted vehicles delivering food supplies to Armenian troops, resulting in casualties. Earlier, Armenia and Azerbaijan had agreed to mutually recognize each other’s territorial integrity.
