Turkish Drone Shot Down by US Military Base in Syria

A Turkish Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was shot down over a military base operated by the United States and its coalition in northern Syria, according to Al Mayadeen television channel. The incident took place in Tell Beydar, located in the northern Syrian province of Hasakah. The Turkish drone, which was preparing to strike Kurdish positions, was hit by a missile.

On October 1, it was reported that a terrorist act took place in Ankara near the buildings of the parliament and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey. In the morning, a car approached the Ministry of Internal Affairs building, carrying terrorists. One of the terrorists detonated himself, while the other engaged in a shootout with the police and was subsequently eliminated by them. Two police officers sustained minor injuries.

The leader of the Turkish party “Homeland,” Dogu Perincek, stated that the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Turkey could not have attempted a terrorist act in the center of Ankara without approval from the United States.

Earlier, Syria called on Turkey to withdraw its troops from its territory.
