In a recent development, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have launched an attack on the city of Shebekino in the Belgorod region of Russia. The attack, carried out using the Grad multiple rocket launcher system, has resulted in damage to a local bakery, according to reports from the Telegram channel Shot. The city is currently under sirens, and people are seeking shelter.
On the morning of October 5th, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region, announced that the AFU had targeted the settlement of Shebekinsky in the Shebekinsky city district. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
Prior to this incident, Gladkov had reported that the administrative building in Belgorod had been damaged by debris from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Additionally, a private house and three cars in the village of Shishino were also damaged by debris following the destruction of targets by the air defense system.
The air defense system was activated during the night over Belgorod, successfully intercepting around 19 objects. The extent of the damage caused by the falling debris is currently being assessed.
