Ukraine Appoints Three New Deputy Defense Ministers Amidst Leadership Changes

The Ukrainian government has recently appointed three new deputy defense ministers, according to Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada. In his Telegram channel, Melnychuk announced that Stanislav Hayder, Ivan Havryliuk, and Dmitry Klimenkov have been given positions in the Ministry of Defense. This comes after the news site NV.ua reported on September 27 that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umorov, was considering Sergey Naev, the commander of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as his first deputy. On the same day, the Ukrainian government appointed three deputy ministers of defense.

Earlier in September, former Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Alexey Reznikov, who was dismissed following corruption scandals, stated that Umorov would be able to continue the initiatives he had started. Prior to this, Ukrainian parliament member Alexey Goncharenko, who is listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring, revealed that three deputy ministers of defense, Vladimir Havrilov, Vitaliy Deynega, and Andrey Shevchenko, had submitted their resignations.

Previously, Zelensky had disclosed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from carrying out military operations on Russian territory.
