Russian Forces Strike Ukrainian Military Installations in Forested Area

The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported that heavy flamethrower systems TOC-1A “Solntsepek” of the Western Military District have successfully targeted fortifications and strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in a forested area along the Kupyansk direction, according to RIA Novosti. The commander of the combat vehicle TOC-1A, with the call sign “Cherny” (“Black”), stated that the Russian Armed Forces operated within the forest strip where there was a concentration of enemy forces and certain “strongholds.”

“We hit them, even made two strikes. We are used quite often, one could say that no advance or defensive operation can proceed without us,” he said.

Previously, the head of the press center of the Russian forces group, Alexander Savchuk, announced that the Russian forces group “Center” had targeted a temporary deployment site and three command observation points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On October 4, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian Federation forces had destroyed Ukrainian missile and artillery ammunition depots near Kupyansk and Lypsov in the Kharkiv region.

Earlier, a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed his lack of understanding about the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
