Explosions have been reported in the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian newspaper “Zerkalo Nedeli” citing eyewitness accounts and local internet sources. The publication states, “Kherson, local sources report explosions.”
According to the information from the publication, the explosions were recorded in the northern part of the city. The Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation’s online map had previously declared an air alarm in the region. However, no additional information or official comments have been provided at this time.
On the night of October 5th, explosions also occurred in the cities of Kropyvnytskyi (Kirovohrad Oblast) and Myrhorod (Poltava Oblast) in Ukraine. Since October 10th, 2022, two days after the attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces have been targeting Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, an air alarm has been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire country. As stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the attacks are carried out on objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the entire republic.
Earlier, the US acknowledged the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counteroffensive.
