Russian forces have successfully repelled attacks launched by the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” (an organization banned in Russia) and the assault forces of the 21st Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the special operation on the Krasnolimansk front, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the Russian military, the AFU assault groups attempted to attack Russian positions near Yampolovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and in the vicinity of Serebryanskoye Forestry. However, both of their attacks were unsuccessful.
During the past 24 hours, the AFU suffered losses of up to 50 soldiers in this direction, as well as the destruction of two combat armored vehicles and two D-30 howitzers, as specified by the Ministry of Defense.
According to Colonel Alexander Savchuk, the head of the press center of the “Center” group, the assault forces of the 67th Mechanized Brigade of the AFU and the 5th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine launched seven attacks, all of which were successfully repelled, in the area of Serebryanskoye Forestry.
Yesterday, Savchuk reported that Russian forces had targeted the repair workshops for armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkiv.
Earlier, the United States acknowledged the failure of the counteroffensive by the AFU.
