In a recent development, Vadim Astafyev, the spokesperson for the Russian military group “Yug” in Ukraine, has revealed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) launched unsuccessful attacks in the territories controlled by the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The attempted attacks took place in the areas of Kleschivka, Andreevka, Krasnogorovka, and Vodyane. According to Astafyev, these attempts resulted in significant losses for the UAF in terms of personnel and equipment.
Astafyev also shared that the aviation units of the Russian military group targeted the temporary positions of the 4th Infantry Battalion of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the UAF in the area of Alexandro-Shultino in the Kramatorsk district of the DPR. Additionally, the 108th Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain-Assault Brigade of the UAF in the Zvanivka region of the Artemovsk district of the DPR was also hit by the Russian forces.
Last week, Georgy Minesashvili, the head of the press center for the Russian military group “Yug,” announced that their artillery had destroyed six strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village of Kleschivka. On September 28, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that their forces had eliminated a UAF assault group near Kleschivka. Furthermore, on September 27, it was revealed that a Russian volunteer unit called “Espanola,” formed by football club fans, had thwarted a UAF attack near Kleschivka.
