In a recent development, the Russian armed forces, specifically the “Vostok” group, successfully repelled an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the vicinity of Priyutnoye. This defensive operation was carried out with the support of artillery and heavy flamethrower systems, as confirmed by Oleg Chekhov, the spokesperson for the Russian forces.
According to Chekhov, the units of the “Vostok” group in the South Donetsk direction were able to repel the UAF’s attack on Priyutnoye with the assistance of artillery fire and heavy flamethrower systems. Following this successful defense, Russian assault units in the areas of Novozlatopol, Chervonoye, and Priyutnoye were able to improve their tactical position. Russian fighters managed to occupy enemy strongholds, thereby strengthening their control over the region.
Chekhov also highlighted that four Ukrainian soldiers surrendered and were taken as prisoners. This development adds to the growing number of Ukrainian military personnel who have chosen to surrender to Russian forces.
In a separate report, it was revealed that a special-purpose unit operating in the Svatove-Kremennoye direction has adopted FPV drones (first-person view) named “Upyr” (Vampire) for military use. This technological advancement demonstrates the Russian unmanned rapid response unit’s commitment to utilizing advanced equipment during their operations.
Moreover, it has been reported that the Russian Bobr (Beaver) unmanned squadron, one of the first to employ FPV drones during the ongoing Special Military Operation (SMO) in Ukraine, has successfully destroyed and disabled over 100 enemy military vehicles and approximately one battalion of enemy forces over the course of a year.
Earlier, three UAF fighters crossed the Dnieper River and surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces, further highlighting the challenging circumstances faced by the Ukrainian military.
