Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on the territory of the Bryansk region. The incident occurred on October 3rd when the Ukrainian regime attempted a terrorist attack using a UAV aircraft on targets within Russian territory. The Ukrainian drone was destroyed by the Russian air defense forces over the Bryansk region, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
In a separate development, the Russian air defense forces have reportedly destroyed a total of 58 UAVs belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These drones were eliminated in the territories of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as in the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, also confirmed that a Ukrainian drone was destroyed by the Russian air defense system in the Trubchevsky district.
Prior to these incidents, the Ukrainian army had shelled the Bryansk region from the Ukrainian side for half an hour. The village of Sluchevsk in the Pogar district, located just 1.1 km from the Ukrainian border, was targeted during the shelling.
Russia has recently developed a new system for countering drones.
