In a recent announcement on his Telegram channel, Alexander Bogomaz, the governor of the Bryansk region, revealed that the Russian air defense system successfully destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the Trubchevsk district. Bogomaz stated, “The UAV of an aircraft type was destroyed by the air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense over the Trubchevsk district. There were no casualties or damages reported.” The regional leader also mentioned that emergency services are currently operating at the site.
On October 2nd, the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted artillery shelling towards the Bryansk region from the Ukrainian side, lasting for half an hour. The village of Sluchevsk in the Pogar district, located just 1.1 km from the Ukrainian border, was affected by the shelling.
Previously, on September 30th, Bogomaz reported that a drone dropped an explosive device on the city of Trubchevsk, injuring a local resident. This incident followed an earlier attempt by a homemade drone equipped with an explosive device to strike the Bryansk region.
It is worth noting that Russia has recently developed a new drone suppression system.
