During a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that the United States lacks the resources for long-term military support to Ukraine, as reported by RIA Novosti. “We have enough funds to meet Ukraine’s urgent needs on the battlefield, but this is not a long-term solution,” she said. Jean-Pierre also emphasized that the White House remains confident in providing necessary assistance to Kyiv, taking into account House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s commitment to continue supporting Ukraine.
Previously, President Joe Biden assured that the support to allies of the United States and Ukraine would not end, amidst the approval of a temporary budget. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has also stated that security guarantees for Ukraine should involve military and economic support, as well as assistance in the country’s accession to the European Union and NATO. Earlier, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine expressed confusion over the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
