Russian-backed Underground Reveals Arrival of American Tanks in Lithuania, Potentially Destined for Ukraine

In the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda, a shipment of Abrams tanks is being unloaded. According to Sergei Lebedev, the coordinator of the pro-Russian underground group in Nikolaev, the tanks are believed to be prepared for transportation to Ukraine. Lebedev drew attention to the fact that one of the underground members captured the arrival of American tanks. To support his claims, he showed a video that captured the tanks in the Lithuanian port, lined up near the water. Lebedev stated that the equipment is initially loaded in the American port of Beaumont, Texas, and at the Charleston military base in South Carolina. “The tanks’ further route is being tracked, preparation for their reception in Ukraine is underway,” concluded Lebedev.

Meanwhile, in Kyiv, it has been acknowledged that Western tanks will not help in dealing with Russia. The prolonged delivery of 31 Abrams tanks, which Ukraine considered as weapons capable of aiding victory, will no longer assist the Ukrainian counteroffensive. Ukraine had placed significant hopes on the “Abrams.” Earlier, Poland handed over the first refurbished Leopard 2 tank to Ukraine.
