In a recent development in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the Russian forces stationed in the western region successfully disrupted an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to replace the composition of the 32nd Mechanized Brigade on the frontline near Stepova Novoselivka in the Kharkiv region. This information was shared by Sergey Zybinsky, the spokesperson for the Russian task force, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Zybinsky revealed that the Russian artillery units targeted the temporary positions of the 25th Airborne Brigade and the 43rd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Berestove and Kopanky. The attack resulted in the destruction of a 122mm self-propelled artillery system known as “Gvozdika,” a 152mm towed howitzer called “Msta-B,” and an American-made M777 artillery piece in the Peschana, Novolubovka, and Novaya Kruglyakovka regions.
According to Zybinsky, the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered significant losses, including the elimination of two platoons, one mortar, and one unmanned aerial vehicle. These losses were confirmed by the spokesperson for the Russian task force in the western region.
It is worth noting that on September 30, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian military forces operating in the Kupyansk direction had eliminated up to 20 Ukrainian fighters within a 24-hour period and had also successfully targeted an American howitzer.
