The head of Turkish defense company Baykar Defence, Huluk Bayraktar, has announced that Ukraine may receive an improved version of the Bayraktar drones, known as Bayraktar Akıncı. This information was reported by RBC, citing the Ukrainian “24 Channel”.
“The question is being considered,” commented Bayraktar on the possible transfer of these drones to Ukraine. Earlier, the Ukrainian publication UNIAN wrote about the potential transfer of this unmanned aerial vehicle to Kyiv.
Previously, the CEO of Bayraktar, Haluk Bayraktar, stated at an international defense industry forum in Kyiv that the Turkish company Baykar plans to invest around $100 million in the construction of a drone production plant in Ukraine. On August 30th, during the TEKNOFEST aviation and space festival in Ankara, the latest models of Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles were showcased.
